Yes. NZ Drones holds the CAA Part 102 Unmanned Aircraft Operators Certificate — New Zealand's highest level of drone certification — renewed until 2031. This allows us to fly in controlled airspace, over people, at night, over 400ft, and more.

NZ Drones carries $15 million aviation-specific coverage and $10 million public liability insurance, covering all commercial drone operations in New Zealand and internationally.

NZ Drones has accumulated over 3,000 commercial flight hours since 2016, across aerial photography, inspections, mapping, agriculture, and light shows.

Can NZ Drones fly at night or in controlled airspace?

Yes. Our CAA Part 102 certification allows us to conduct night operations and fly in controlled airspace near airports and helipads — operations that most drone operators are not legally permitted to perform.
